Canals and rivers
Burikhora river is located 4 km east of Ramnagar union. There is no big bill in this union. However, for the irrigation project, there is the Teesta Canal by the Teesta Barrage, which is one of the development streams for the people of Ramnagar Union. The water of this Teesta canal has been used to irrigate about 600 acres of land in Ramnagar Union and cultivate various crops including high quality paddy.
The Teesta Canal flows from Harishchandrapath in Khutamara Union of Jaldhaka Upazila through Chowdhury Bazar to Chanderhat and through Panchpukur Union in Nilphamari Sadar Upazila.
